Your profile identifies the person working in Domix; account settings identify the company workspace. Use your profile to give teammates a recognizable name, add an avatar, and review your user details.
If the same user belongs to several accounts, treat the name and avatar as that user’s identity rather than a separate identity created for each workspace. Permissions and membership in teams or inboxes are managed within each account.
Review both name fields
Open the user menu and select Profile Settings. The basic details include your name and display name. Email editing may also be available, depending on the installation’s settings.
Choose a name teammates can recognize, such as “Mona Ahmed,” instead of a generic label like “Support Agent.” If you use a separate working display name, follow your company’s naming approach. Do not assume every external channel presents names and avatars identically. Check a test conversation on the intended channel when customer-facing appearance matters.
Editing these fields does not rename the company or an inbox, and it does not edit a customer contact. Confirm you are on the profile page before saving.

Upload the picture, then save the profile
Use the avatar control to choose an image from your device. Check the preview to confirm you selected the right file, then use the profile update button to save it. Seeing the preview is not enough to establish that the picture was saved.
After the success message, reopen the profile and inspect the saved name and image. To remove an avatar, use its delete action and wait for the result. Deleting the existing picture is separate from selecting a replacement.
Choose an image that remains recognizable at a small size. Long text inside an avatar is difficult to read when the image appears beside your name.
Changing your email address
Email editing is not exposed in every installation. When it is available, check the address carefully before saving and follow the confirmation message. You may need to confirm the address and sign in again, so use an address you can access.
If your page does not allow the change, ask the administrator how user details are managed. Putting a new email address in the display-name field does not change your sign-in address.
When a change seems missing
If the image disappears after reopening the page, check that you saved after selecting it and that the update succeeded. If a different name appears in a particular location, review both the name and display name, then check that specific location again. Updating your identity does not edit the text of previously sent messages or guarantee that old conversation history will be reformatted.
