Domix lets you switch between workspaces linked to the same user. Switching changes the account you are viewing; it does not move conversations, contacts, or channel settings from one account to another.
For example, you might be an administrator in “Example Store” and an agent in “Example Services.” The same sign-in can give you access to both, but each account’s data, menus, and permissions follow your membership there.
Use the account switcher
- Find the current account name in the sidebar. In the compact layout, its initial may appear instead of the full name; hover to identify the account.
- Open the list and select the intended account. It shows accounts linked to your user and may show your role alongside them.
- Wait for the new account’s dashboard to load, then verify its name before opening a conversation or changing a setting.
Switching opens the selected account’s dashboard, so do not expect to remain on the same conversation screen. Save an edited form before switching rather than assuming unsaved changes will travel with you.

Know which context changes
| Item | What to check after switching |
|---|---|
| Conversations, channels, and contacts | These belong to the new workspace; similar names do not establish matching records |
| Role and available menus | You may be an administrator here and an agent elsewhere |
| Availability and notification-event preferences | Review them in the account where you are starting work |
| Name, avatar, and signature | These belong to the same user rather than separate copies for each account |
| Interface language | Your explicit preference applies, or the account language when following the default |
If your signature names a company and you work across two businesses, inspect it before sending a reply. Switching accounts does not automatically create a separate signature carrying the other company’s name.
When the list or an account is missing
If you have only one account and account creation is unavailable, the account name may appear without an active switcher. This does not imply that other accessible accounts are hidden behind it.
If you expect another account, confirm that you signed in with the user or email invited to it. Ask that account’s administrator to review membership and complete the invitation process where needed. Creating a new account is not a substitute for access to an existing one; it creates another workspace rather than revealing the team’s existing data.
Check context before taking action
Before replying, review the account, inbox, and customer in the conversation. Before editing settings, verify the intended account, especially when businesses have similar names or several tabs are open.
If an administrative menu disappears after switching, check your role in the new account before treating it as a malfunction. If a conversation is missing, review the account, filters, and inbox access. Switching neither grants extra permissions nor exposes the previous workspace’s records inside the current one.
